What are Peptides?
Our bodies have over 300,000 peptides naturally occurring inside of them. Like proteins, peptides play a fundamental role in the normal biological functions of your body. In a broad sense, peptides facilitate cell-to-cell communication so that normal bodily functions can occur. There are peptides that may signal your pituitary gland to secrete growth hormones and peptides that tell the testicles to produce testosterone.
Peptides are comprised of amino acids that are bonded together to form a chain. Proteins are also comprised of a long chain of amino acids. The key difference between a protein and a peptide is that a peptide contains anywhere from two to fifty amino acids. Any more than fifty and that chain of amino acids is considered a protein.
There are multiple kinds of amino acids that your body needs, including nine essential amino acids. These amino acids can be sequenced in a variety of ways when forming a peptide or protein. The sequence of these amino acids will determine what kind of peptide they are.
At The Novus Center, we understand the important role that peptides play. In particular, BPC-157 has been shown to be an amazing complement to the NOVOWave shock wave therapy we offer for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.
How Can BPC-157 Help Treat Erectile Dysfunction?
BPC-157 is called body protection compound and is a peptide that is composed of a chain of 15 amino acids. BPC-157 is derived from human gastric juices. It is used for a variety of purposes, like the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders like inflammatory bowel disease and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). BPC-157 is also known to stimulate the growth of new blood vessels (angiogenesis).
BPC-157 is also able to stimulate collagen formation and remodeling as well as growth factors in the body. Because of this, BPC-157 is also used to treat damage in tendons, ligaments, nerves, and bones. It can also act as an anti-inflammatory to help reduce muscular pain.
When it comes to treating erectile dysfunction, The Novus Center offers a free 60-day supply of BPC-157 to all those receiving NOVOWave treatments. NOVOWave shockwave therapy utilizes pulses of acoustic shockwaves that help to stimulate the growth of blood vessels and nerve tissue in the penis to help increase blood flow and function.
These are the same things that BPC-157 usage helps to provide as well. By enhancing the angiogenesis, tissue remodeling, and nerve tissue growth that is occurring, NOVOWave and BPC-157 work hand in hand to help improve your ability to get and maintain an erection on a normal basis.
